Para determinar este aspecto oculto, inaccesible para las armas teóricas de la modernidad, Vassilis Alymaras (quien es también el traductor y editor de la edición griega del Ensayo) intente atravesar los dos siglos del transcurso del Ensayo introduciendo una construcción que podría llamarse “Historiografía lacunaria”, cuyos elementos desarrolla a través de 20 notas. 

El autor, como arquitecto, trata de ver no al Boullée de la modernidad sino al Boullée real, el catalizador, el híbrido y el equilibrador, en aquella época fluida, cálida y peligrosa, de la Revolución Francesa. Surgen así, paradójicamente, las mismas preguntas que Boullée se hacía: la cuestión de los principios constitutivos de la arquitectura, el origen y la condición de la forma, la percepción y la sensación, el evento fundacional de la geometría, la naturaleza e implementación (‘la mise en œuvre’), la concepción. 

Así, el autor observa que Boullée trabaja la lógica hasta el grado en que se exuda poesía y, tomando como base ese irrompible vínculo, quiere seguir intentando poner en pie un programa poético-técnico para la arquitectura contemporánea, que haga de contrapeso necesario de las peligrosas exageraciones técnico-científicas y quizás revolucionario.

This issue of 2G is dedicated to the work of the French architecture studio Muoto. Studio Muoto´s activities cover the fields of architecture, urbanism, design and scientific research. Muoto means 'form' in Finnish. Muoto's work often features minimal structures made of rough materials, as a means to combine different activities, and merge economical as well as aesthetic issues. Vertical diversity as an articulation between building and city scales is a recurrent figure in Muoto's projects. The office has been rewarded by several prizes, such as Holcim Awards 2014, Equerre d'Argent 2016, and Bauwelt 2017.
