It represents “architecture without architects” while also being a nonchalant solution for a common architectural programme in the midst of an inhospitable residual zone. The 2013 “House of Switzerland” in Sochi (Russia) is intelligently derived from the same approach.

Diese Geschichten werden von einer fotografischen Arbeit begleitet. Mit Wettbewerbseingaben, architektonischen Zeichnungen, sowie Aufnahmen aus dem Stadtarchiv entsteht eine allumfassende Publikation, wie es sie über diesen Bau nicht gibt und längst überfällig ist.

[.en] The book ‘Lochergut – A Portrait’ presents the history of the urban housing development from several different perspectives. Texts by Prof. Dr. Christian Schmid and Prof. Markus Peter respectively place the building in a sociological and an urban planning/architectural context. 16 interviews with residents and experts discuss events that occurred inside and around the Lochergut estate, providing insight into everyday life in the high-rise development. Competition entries, architectural sketches and documents from the City Archive combine to produce a comprehensive publication that has been lacking to date and is long overdue.

[.en] Cities Connection Project seeks to establish connections at the level of Architectural themes between the city ofBarcelona and other European cities or regions with a significant architectural tradition.A series of architecture exhibitions are the focus of this project that also offers other events such as conferences, academic discussion and professional meetings. Every exchange is articulated around a fresh theme, which is related to the specific characteristics of the invited city or region.The Import Zurich title focuses mainly on Zurich's cooperative housing projects. For about fifteen years now a renaissance of urban living is bringing about a renewal of activity among the housing cooperatives. They have adopted ecological standards, they have developed socially compatible forms of denser building, and theirlarge-scale projects have a significant impact on the qualitative development of the city's neighbourhoods. This is coupled with a new generation of architects who, thanks in part to architecture competitions, have had the opportunity to develop, test out and affirm their own field of research within a very strict and deterministic legal framework.

From the summer of 1958, when she first met Le Corbusier in Cap Martin, until today, Heidi Weber has worked tirelessly to popularize his work. She was the first to have certain pieces of Le Corbusier s furniture industrially manufactured, she published his graphic works, and she organized countless exhibitions devoted to him. She even had Le Corbusier himself design a building especially for her collection: the Heidi Weber Museum ("La Maison de l Homme") in Zurich, which opened in 1967; it is the only museum in the world exclusively devoted to the great architect s work as a visual artist.

This volume documents these fifty years of activity with illustrations of more than one hundred of Le Corbusier s works from Heidi Weber s collection, including paintings, drawings, collages, sculptures, tapestries, furniture, plans, and models.
