But although roughly one inevery three buildings that reaches a height of 100 meters or more is nowbuilt there, the highrise typology is also increasingly establishing itself inother parts of the world. European cities, for example, are pushing forwardwith the development of their own highrises, and more and more newtowers are being built in Africa. The International Highrise Award 2020presents thirty-one of the most exciting recently completed highrise projectsworldwide that are distinguished by their sustainability, energy- andcost-efficiency and user-friendly design.
