Artists, architects and designers have worked on the subject of "space" for a long time. They share an interest in what is a central cultural, sociological, political and economic issue, but formulate approaches that are fundamentally different. From the beginning of construction and the early integration of artists in commissioned work situations, this story takes the reader to the currently delicate situation in which the conditions seemingly have to be constituted anew. The role of architectural, urban and territorial conditions within contemporary art and installation art, the use of industrial production techniques and the influence of performance, sculptural and participative work methods taken from current architecture and design can be understood as symbols of this process. The borders of disciplines that are considered to be social are increasingly in doubt and thus these disciplines require alternative work models.
